13 tips to stay with your diet

 1.  Do not start a diet without consulting with a doctor.

 2.  Give yourself reasonable objectives in order to achieve a moderate but sustainable weight loss

 3.  Avoid diets that are too strict as you will gradually drop out of them.

 4.  Don’t give up a diet as it will be even harder to take it up again.

 5.  Don’t follow a diet that excludes certain food categories as this can cause a imbalance in your food and vitamin intake.

 6. Avoid highly eccentric diets publicized as miraculous. Discuss them with your physician.

 7.  Avoid snacks between meals. It is often the cause of inefficient diet.

 8.  Avoid too frequent irregularity in the observance of the diet. If you make it less efficient, it looses credibility and you will eventually drop out of it.

 9.  Take heed not to take too many foods labeled “diet” or “light”. They can be high in calories.

10. Learn to read the labels of food to find out what you’re. This way you know they’re composed of.

11. Keep a food log where you record your observations and what you eat on a daily basis, including subsequent intervals.

12.  Keep a varied diet.

13.  Do not isolate yourself: Don’t decline an invitation just because you’re on diet. What counts is the long-term commitment to the diet.
